Meet Brian Blumer, U.S. Army — 2025 Veteran
Mr. Brian Blumer was born in Valparaiso, Indiana in 1976. Part of an Army family, he grew up with one brother and two sisters and graduated from Fayetteville Technical Community College in Fayetteville, North Carolina in 2017.
After graduating from the United States Army Basic training course in 1997, he was assigned to 3rd Infantry Division, 4th Infantry Division, and 101st Airborne. His duties consisted of Bradley driver, Bradley gunner, and Bradley commander, Rifleman, and Squad Leader. During this assignment Mr. Blumer deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Following his initial assignments, Mr. Blumer attended the Special Forces Qualification Course in 2006. He was then assigned to the 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) and served as an Engineer, Senior Engineer, and Team Sergeant on ODA 3123 and deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
Following his tour with 3rd SFG, Mr. Blumer served with Special Operations Command Central, (SOCCENT) where he deployed in support of the War on Terror in 2017. He then returned to United Stated States Special Command (USASOC) where he retired of the rank of MSG/E8.
Mr. Blumer has three children: Kailynn, Aubrey, and Brentley and has been married for 20 years to his wife, Mandy.
