Rebuilding Warriors

Jeffrey Gerritt Pieters was born on the 12th of October, 1987. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps from October 2009 to October 2013. His MOS designation was 0331 - an infantry machine gunner - and was assigned to the unit 2^nd Battalion 5th Marine Regiment.

There, he served two deployments: the first to Southeast Asia as the part of the Battalion Landing Team of the 31^st MEU in which he was a part of Operation Tomodachi (humanitarian aid to the 2011 tsunami in Japan) while his second deployment was to Afghanistan, Helmand Province, in the Now Zad District where he took part in combat operations in the year 2012.

He was honorably discharged at the end of his contract in 2013 and went on to pursue other ambitions in his life.
