Meet Kaelyn S. Anderson, U.S. Army — 2019 Veteran
Kaelyn S. Anderson was born in Hilo, Hawaii. She enlisted into the U.S. Army in September 2010. She attended Basic Combat Training in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri and Advanced Individual Training in Fort Huachuca, Arizona. Upon completion of training, she was awarded the Military Occupational Specialty 35M, Human Intelligence Collector.
ASSIGNMENTS: Anderson's assignments and duty positions include B Co, 109th MI BN, 201st BfSB, Fort Lewis, Washington (Human Intelligence Collector); 4th ID, FOB Joyce, Kunar Province, Afghanistan (Human Intelligence Team Leader); A Co, 109th MI BN, 201st BfSB, TF ODIN, FOB Shank, Logar Province, Afghanistan (Human Intelligence Sergeant); B co, 201st MI BN, 470th MI BDE, Fort Sam Houston, Texas (Operations NCO); Army Interrogation Group, 470th MI BDE, Fort Sam Houston, Texas (Battalion Commander's Executive Assistant and Observer Coach/Trainer).
EDUCATION: Anderson received her Associate's Degree in Intelligence Operations from Cochise College, and is currently pursuing an Associate's Degree in Kinesiology from Northeast Lakeview College. She plans to further pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology with a concentration in Health Science from the University of Texas, San Antonio. Her military education includes United States Army Basic Leader's Course, Combat Lifesaver's Course, and Source Operations Course.
