Rebuilding Warriors

Lucas Braun joined the Army at 18 years old and began his journey in the military at Ft Benning, Georgia. He attended OSUT on Sand Hill where all Infantrymen start their career.

Upon graduating OSUT he was stationed at Ft Hood, Texas where he was in Bco 2-5 CAV 1^st BDE 1^st CAV division. He deployed to Kuwait in 2000-2001. In 2004-2005 he was deployed to Sadr City, Iraq with this Unit.

During this deployment he was wounded by a mortar explosion. Upon returning from deployment from Sadr City he PCS'd to Ft Bliss, Texas to help stand up the 4^th Brigade Combat Team where he was assigned to B Company 2-7 CAV. He deployed to Mosul, Iraq in 2006-2007. Upon returning from this deployment Sgt Braun was Medically Discharged due to wounds sustained in combat.

He is currently a 100% Disabled Veteran living in Buda, Texas with his wife Dana and their three children. Lucas participates in sporting events with the Heroes Baseball team as well as hunting and fishing events supporting other veterans with Banded Brigade Outdoors. Lucas was presented his new battle buddy, Service K9 Sadie.
