Meet Matthew Meloni, US Army — 2019 Veteran
Matt Meloni was born February 14, 1979 in Birmingham, Alabama. After graduating high school, he attended Arizona State University and majored in English. He also attended Albany Law School and obtained a JD. After graduation Matt made a change in his career path and enlisted into the United States Army as an 11B.
He attended Army Basic Training at Fort Benning, Georgia. After Basic, he completed Airborne School and Ranger Assessment Selection Program (RASP). Upon graduating RASP, he was assigned to B. Co., 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, located at Fort Lewis, Washington.
He deployed to Afghanistan in 2015. Upon his return stateside, he continued on and graduated Ranger School in 2016 earning his Tab. Matt was honorably discharged in 2017 after fulfilling his obligated service. Matt is married to his wife Julia and has three daughters: Rachel, Lucy, and Kate.
