Rebuilding Warriors

Michael Hansen was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. Michael enlisted in the Army as an Infantryman in 2010 and was assigned to 3^rd Battalion, 15' Infantry Regiment, 3^rd Infantry Division, at Fort Stewart, Georgia. Michael volunteered for Special Forces in 2011 and graduated the Special Forces Qualification Course (SFQC) as a Special Forces Medical Sergeant in 2014.

Michael then served as a Medical Sergeant in 3^rd Battalion, 1 Special Forces Group (Airborne) until 2021. During his time in Special Forces, Michael deployed on multiple missions in support of operations throughout Southeast Asia, to locations including Thailand, South Korea, and Afghanistan.

Michael's military education includes the Special Operations Combat Medic Course, Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape (SERE), Airborne School, Air Assault School, Special Operations Dive Medical Technician Course, Advanced Special Operations Techniques Course, U.S. Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) Static Line Jumpmaster Course, and The Special Forces Senior Leaders Course.

Michael's Awards and Decorations include:

• the Bronze Star Medal with "V" Device and two Oak Leaf Clusters,
• Purple Heart Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster,
• Meritorious Service Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge,

• Parachutist Badge,
• Air Assault Badge,
• Army Commendation Medal,
• Army Achievement Medal,
• Army Good Conduct Medal (3^rd Award),
• National Defense Service Medal,

• the Army Service Ribbon.

Michael currently resides in Phoenix, Arizona with his son and is pursuing a degree at Arizona State University.
