Meet Michael St. John, US Army — 2019 Veteran
Michael St. John grew up in Putnam County, New York and Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. In 1994, while still a Junior in High School, he attended Army Basic Combat Training. After graduating Boyertown Area Senior High School in 1995, Michael went on to complete his military training as a Food Service Specialist.
In 2003 he deployed with his National Guard unit to Kabul, Afghanistan. After returning from combat, Michael attended Warrant Officer Candidate School in 2005 and was appointed as a Warrant Officer.
In January of 2007, Michael completed his Bachelor's degree in Finance from Temple University. In April 2007, Michael's unit deployed to Balad, Iraq where he oversaw one of the largest U.S. dining facilities in Iraq.
After returning from Iraq in 2008, Michael continues to serve in his community. He coaches his children's sports teams, he is a volunteer for the local Boro government and volunteers at his church.
