Meet Rob Hadeka U.S. Air Force — 2016 Veteran

After completion of High School in Voorheesville, New York, Mr. Rob Hadeka joined the United States Air Force. He served in the Air Force from November 1997 to October 2002. He completed Basic Training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio Texas.

From there he went to TECH School with an AFSC in the Security Forces. He completed TECH School in March of 1998 and got orders to the 86th Airlift Wing, 568th Security Forces Squadron in Ramstein Germany. He reported there in April of 1998 and was first deployed to Nairobi Kenya for the Embassy Bombing in August 1998. The attack took 253 lives, and brought Osama bin Laden and their terrorist organization to the attention of the American public for the first time.

He was then deployed to Tuzla, Bosnia from November 1998 to March 1999 during the Balkan War. As an M-60 Machine Gunner, he was tasked to do missions with the Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) as a Security Unit. He did Missions from Tuzla to Sarajevo, Bosnia.

He was then assigned to the 28th Bomb Wing, 28th Security Forces Squadron at Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota. He served two Tours at Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia and one Tour at Al Jaber, Kuwait. He was in Kuwait on September 11, 2001 during the attacks on American soil. He was put on Stop Loss for a year with only 32 days to Separate.
